Lars Markert and Shimpei Ishido co-authored the chapter on the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership in The Investment Treaty Arbitration Review - Sixth Edition, published by Law Business Research.

The chapter provides a comprehensive and up-to-date analysis of the investment protections and investor-state dispute settlement provisions of the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP), which is currently in force between Australia, Canada, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Singapore and Vietnam, and will enter into force for Peru on 19 September 2021. Also, negotiations for the UK's participation in the CPTPP started in June 2021.
