Most innovative leader: FT Innovative Lawyers Awards Asia-Pacific 2021

The Financial Times, together with its research partner RSG Consulting, named Masaki Hosaka, chairman of the management board of Nishimura & Asahi, the Asia-Pacific region’s “Most Innovative Law Firm Leader”, at the FT Asia-Pacific Innovative Lawyer Awards 2021, held virtually on May 13, 2021.

Commenting on his win, Masaki said: “I’m thrilled to receive this award, which comes at the conclusion of my ten years as managing partner. Of course, this award, and our other awards, coverage and recognition by the Financial Times of our shortlisted lawyers and teams, belong to everyone at our firm. They speak to our firm’s pioneering spirit, our commitment to our clients and our innovative solutions to the unprecedented challenges of this past year.”

Nishimura & Asahi was also named the winner of the region’s “Law Firm: Diversity & Inclusion” award.

Nishimura & Asahi remains the only firm ranked in the top 10 “Most Innovative Law Firms in Asia-Pacific” that is not headquartered in an English-speaking country.

The FT Innovative Lawyers Awards are the legal profession’s most highly regarded award programs, recognizing the most innovative, creative and strategic work from firms and individuals across the region.
