    Rakuten, Inc.: Establishment of new “Rakuten BIC” online service

Leading Japanese law firm Nishimura & Asahi has advised Rakuten, Inc. (“Rakuten”) on the formation of a new company with BIC CAMERA INC. (“BIC”) that will provide a unified online and offline retail service focused on consumer electronics. The service will begin operations in April 2018.

The Nishimura & Asahi team advising Rakuten was led by partner Tatsuya Tanigawa and Makoto Shimizu.
