Successful defense against a lawsuit concerning patent infringement (Appellate court)

The Intellectual Property High Court ruled in favor of our client, and dismissed the appeal by the appellant, Panasonic, on October 30, 2012. Hiroshi Suga, Yumi Ueda and Takuhiro Fukazu represented the appellee/defendant in the case, which our client won.
In this case, the plaintiff (Panasonic Electric Works Co., Ltd., currently Panasonic Corporation by the merger) claimed that our client's acts of manufacturing and selling certain products infringed their patent regarding "the transmitter and receiver switching device of networking equipment," however, the court sustained our contentions and rejected all of the plaintiff's claims.
On October 27, 2011, the Osaka District Court rejected a claim by the plaintiff, concerning unjust enrichment in favor of our client, and the plaintiff appealed against the Osaka District Court Judgment.
