Nishimura & Asahi won the awards for "National Law Firm of the Year 2008" and "M&A Deal of the Year 2008" at the Asian Awards 2008, hosted by the IFLR.

The Asian Awards 2008, hosted by the IFLR (International Financial Law Review), were held in Hong Kong on March 6, 2008. Nishimura & Asahi won the awards for "National Law Firm of the Year 2008" and "M&A Deal of the Year 2008."

The "National Law Firm of the Year 2008" was awarded in recognition of the outstanding work carried out in Japan by the firm in 2007.

We acted as counsel to Citigroup on a share exchange agreement between Nikko Cordial and Citigroup that won "M&A Deal of the Year 2008," selected from a number of high-profile M&A deals in Asia.

Tatsuya Tanigawa, Stephen D. Bohrer and Masaki Noda attended the awards' ceremony at the Shangri-La Hotel in Hong Kong, where they were presented with the awards.
