In the agriculture, forestry, and fisheries fields, countermeasures that take into account the unique characteristics of the industry, such as business structure, contractual practices, value chains, responses to regulatory authorities, and natural disasters and other risks are required, and special experience and knowledge are also required due to the complexity of the legal system, including the Cropland Act, Fishery Act, Forest Act, and other special laws.
We were one of the first firms in Japan to recognize the need for organized and continuous study and research in this field, and have assembled a team of lawyers with expertise in each legal field from the perspective of agriculture, forestry and fisheries law, and support for a wide range of activities including business entity development, financing, M&A, business alliances, and intellectual property strategies, taking into account the characteristics specific to this area, as well as other laws and practices.
