    KDDI Corporation - Video streaming joint venture with TV Asahi Corporation

Leading Japanese law firm Nishimura & Asahi advised Japanese telecommunications company KDDI Corporation (“KDDI”) [TSE: 9433] on the formation of a subsidiary, LDEX Preparatory Company (“LDEX”), to absorb its video streaming business, Video Pass, and on KDDI’s agreement with TV Asahi Corporation (“TV Asahi”) [TSE: 9409], a Japanese television network, to transfer a 50% stake in LDEX to TV Asahi. Under the agreement, KDDI and TV Asahi will jointly operate LDEX.
