Nishimura & Asahi to open in Sapporo

Leading Japanese law firm Nishimura & Asahi (“N&A”) is pleased to announce that it plans to open its Sapporo office on April 1, 2023 as an office of Nishimura & Asahi LPC.

N&A established Nishimura & Asahi LPC in 2012, opening offices in Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya in August 2012 and Fukuoka in July 2013. N&A celebrated its 10th anniversary last year. The Sapporo office will be N&A’s fifth domestic office and its first in northern Japan.

Currently, N&A supports a wide variety of projects, organizations and companies in Hokkaido from our other offices in Japan. The opening of our Sapporo office will allow us to provide legal services directly to our clients in northern Japan.

N&A has 18 offices around the world, with over 800¹ professionals in Japan and beyond working closely together. N&A continues to strengthen its cooperative relationships with law firms around the world.

The Sapporo office, which will be N&A’s 19th office, will also work with the firm’s network in a variety of fields, such as ESG/SDGs and other sustainability initiatives, novel and expanding businesses arising from rapid social developments such as digital transformation and digital innovation, international cross-border matters, and matters requiring comprehensive capabilities across multiple areas of expertise, to offer clients “one-stop legal services” of the highest quality in both Japan and overseas.
