Mr. Hideki Matsushima's passing

It is with the deepest regret that we inform you that Hideki Matsushima, one of our firm's founders, passed away on October 5, 2021. He was 78 years old.

Mr. Matsushima's biography
Mr. Matsushima was born in 1943. He was admitted to practice law in Japan in 1971. He established Matsushima Law Office (later to become Tokiwa Sogo Law Offices), which later became a part of Nishimura & Asahi. During his long career he served as a board member of the Japanese Association for Business Recovery, an outside director of Japan’s Corporation for Revitalizing Earthquake-Affected Businesses, a consultant to the Japanese Association of Turnaround Professionals, an outside director and the chairman of the Regional Economy Vitalization Committee, Regional Economy Vitalization Corporation of Japan. After retiring from Nishimura & Asahi in 2020, he served as a legal advisor of Tokiwa Law Office.
