    Tokyo Tatemono Co., Ltd., Toko Electrical Construction Co., Ltd., and Fuyo General Lease Co., Ltd. participate in the major office refurbishment project “125 Shaftesbury Avenue” in London

Nishimura & Asahi advised Tokyo Tatemono Co., Ltd., Toko Electrical Construction Co., Ltd. and Fuyo General Lease Co., Ltd. on their participation in the major office refurbishment project “125 Shaftesbury Avenue,” led by Mitsubishi Estate London and EDGE.
The project is located close to Soho and Covent Garden, London’s prominent commercial and theatre districts, and the redevelopment will retain approximately 75% of the existing structure and add two additional floors, transforming the current 11‑storey (plus basement), approximately 23,000‑sqm building into a state‑of‑the‑art 13‑storey (plus basement), approximately 33,500‑sqm office building.

The team was led by partners Shingo Ito, Yoshiyuki Kizu and Timothy Merchant, with support from associates Yuki Takada, Sotaro Hotta and Aoi Kato.

Shingo began his career as a lawyer at Nishimura & Asahi in Tokyo, where he spent eight years specialising in banking and finance. In 2016, he relocated to London, gaining a decade of experience at leading international law firms before rejoining Nishimura & Asahi in London. Shingo has particular expertise in real estate and renewable energy investments by Japanese businesses.
