Tomohiro provides legal services for various corporate matters, including M&A transactions involving listed companies, corporate governance, and general corporate legal matters. He worked for four years at the Financial Services Agency of the Government of Japan as a government official, where he was in charge of the first major review in about 20 years of the tender offer rule and large shareholding reporting rule from the initial planning stage through to the amendment of government ordinances. He was also involved in the revision of the Stewardship Code, engaging in stakeholder coordination and policy planning. Utilizing experience gained during a secondment to the Financial Services Agency, he provides advice from a multifaceted perspective, including capital market insights and regulatory viewpoints.
