Speaking engagement: Arbitral case management in the digital economy

Lars Markert delivered a presentation entitled “Arbitral case management in the digital economy” at “UNCITRAL’s Dispute Resolution in the Digital Economy Initiative” at Sciences Po Law School in Paris, France on March 29, 2023. The event was organized by the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law and was a part of Paris Arbitration Week. Lars explored the enabling function of digital means in arbitral case management. He explained that it can lead to greater efficiency but also warned about its disruptive aspects, which requires the active preservation of equal treatment and the right to be heard.

Lars’ practice is focused on commercial and investment arbitration.
