(1) ESG-related lawsuits, claims, and shareholder proposals against companies:
As ESG-related lawsuits, claims, and shareholder proposals have been on the rise, we will explain the international trends (mainly in Europe, the UK, Japan, and the US), including the growing movement demanding that companies take ESG into greater consideration, as well as the anti-ESG movement in the USA.

(2) Sustainable collaboration between companies and competition law issues towards the realization of a green society:
In a situation where companies are increasingly taking on ESG-related initiatives such as reducing greenhouse gas emissions in order to realize a green society, we will explain key considerations under the competition law and the international trends (mainly in Europe, the UK, Japan), when multiple business operators jointly implement such initiatives.

The Part 1 of the seminar will be provided in English, by Travers Smith, but the speaker will provide a summary in Japanese.
The Part 2 of the seminar will be provided in Japanese, by Nishimura and Asahi.
