Keiichi Yamakoshi joined Nishimura & Asahi
We are pleased to announce that Keiichi Yamakoshi joined Nishimura & Asahi as an Advisor.
At the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, he was engaged in policy making, revision and enforcement of laws and regulations in the fields of employment and labor (labor conditions, employment measures, labor-management relations, equal opportunity employment, occupational safety and health, etc.).
During his tenure as Director of the Labor Standards Bureau, he was in charge of the "Act on Promotion of Workplace Reform" (a comprehensive revision of the Labor Standards Act, the Industrial Safety and Health Act, the Part-Time Work Act, etc.), and as Director of the Labor Policy Research and Training Organization, he conducted research on issues such as worker termination.
Keiichi Yamakoshi will provide advise to our firm on a wide range of issues using his considerable experience and expertise to enrich and develop our firm. We firmly believe that Keiichi Yamakoshi will be a great addition to our firm's capabilities as a whole.
Profile of Keiichi Yamakoshi
While serving as a government official, mainly at the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, I worked on policymaking and enforcement of laws and regulations related to labor/employment.
In addition, I participated in enacting amendments to significant laws such as the Act on the Arrangement of Related Acts to Promote Work Style Reform of 2018.
I also worked on interdisciplinary studies on labor/employment issues (e.g., dismissal of workers) at the Japan Institute for Labor Policy.
