Hiroshi Mori Joins Nishimura & Asahi as Of Counsel

We excited to welcome Hiroshi Mori to Nishimura & Asahi as an Of Counsel.

After beginning his career at the Development Bank of Japan Inc., Hiroshi joined our firm in 2006 and served as a partner until 2019. In June 2019, he transitioned to Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, Inc. as a Managing Corporate Executive. As the Global Head of the Legal Division for the MUFG Group, he oversaw a wide range of legal matters and contributed to overall group management.

Until June 2025, he also served as Senior Managing Corporate Executive of MUFG Bank, Ltd. In April 2025, he was appointed as a member of the subcommittee on Corporate Law of the Legislative Council of the Ministry of Justice, where he is currently engaged in the revision of the Companies Act.

We are confident that his extensive experience in corporate legal affairs, business revitalization, governance, and management—honed through his distinguished career as both a lawyer and corporate executive—will greatly contribute to and strengthen our firm’s practice.
