Cancer Awareness Month 2025
Nishimura ＆ Asahi is a promotional partner for the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare’s Cancer Control Promotion Corporate Action project. This project promotes cancer prevention, screening, treatment, and work balance, and aims to minimize cancer domestically.
In conjunction with Pink Ribbon Month in October for breast cancer awareness, this year we also introduced a new blue ribbon for colorectal cancer awareness, and conducted an awareness campaign aimed to disseminating correct knowledge about cancer in general and promote cancer screenings.
On Oct. 10, Dr. Toshiaki Hirasawa, Director of the Department of Upper Gastrointestinal Medicine, Cancer Research Institute Ariake Hospital, was invited to hold a session titled “Talking about Cancer ~ information on how to protect yourself from cancer!” He gave an easy-to-understand lecture about cancer and the importance of early detection and screening.
We have implemented a firm-wide e-learning program to share accurate information about cancer and what can be done day-to-day for prevention. The firm is certified as an e-learning participant company by the Corporate Action for Promoting Cancer Control.
We will continue to raise awareness for the prevention and early detection of cancer in order to protect the health of each and every member of Nishimura & Asahi.
