Makoto is a counsel in our Corporate team. His main practice areas are M&A and other corporate matters as well as antitrust/competition laws, especially business combinations, cartels, and unfair transactions.
Makoto’s main practice areas are domestic and overseas M&A transactions and other corporate matters. He is stationed in a leading Japanese energy company and provides day-to-day legal advice. He handles a wide range of corporate matters, such as M&A transactions, business start-up new and customer response in BtoC business, and provides several clients with legal advice to satisfy their needs in a reasonable and timely manner. He also has expertise in antitrust/competition-related matters, especially business combinations, cartels, unfair transactions and the Subcontract Act. He advises on several antitrust issues, including day-to-day commercial business and emergency cases such as M&A and cartels, with extensive experience in this area.
