- Tetsu Aizawa joins Nishimura & Asahi
Tetsu Aizawa has extensive experience in corporate-related disputes.
Since 1986, when Tetsu began his career serving as an assistant judge, he has handled a wide variety of civil litigation cases. He also worked for the Ministry of Justice for 15 years, during which time he was involved in the revision of the Commercial Code and drafting various other civil laws. As Counselor of the Ministry of Civil Affairs Bureau and Counselor to the Minister's Secretariat, he led the drafting of the Companies Act 2006. From 2021, he served for three years as Chief Judge of the Civil Division, where he presided over cases in the Tokyo High Court.
Tetsu advises on corporate matters as well as other matters related to corporations and general civil lawsuits.
