Nishimura & Asahi advised AEON Financial Service Co., Ltd. [TSE: 8570] on its acquisition of all shares in Post and Telecommunication Finance Company Limited, a Vietnamese finance company, making it a wholly-owned subsidiary.

Nobuko handles a wide variety of corporate matters, focusing on investment projects and the expansion of Japanese companies into Vietnam and other ASEAN countries. During her time spent working for a foreign law firm, she was in charge of structured finance projects, and since then, she has been involved in a broad range of investment projects, including investment projects in Southeast Asia and venture investment projects at the commercial bank and in N&A. She has lived in Vietnam for the past six years and provides expert practical advice to her clients based on her deep understanding of Vietnamese regulations and customs. As a major member of N&A’s Vietnam practice team, she handles not only investment projects, but also general corporate matters, labor, compliance, and disputes.
Bang is a partner with more than 20 years of professional legal experience. He joined the Ho Chi Minh City Office in 2010, and was the first Vietnamese lawyer to join Nishimura & Asahi; his experience spans a wide range of matters, including a diverse selection of notable, complex projects and disputes. Bang specializes in dispute resolution, inbound investments, corporate & commercial matters, M&A, banking, real estate & construction, and labor. He also has significant experience advising on international trade, unfair competition, securities, capital markets transactions, project financing transactions, infrastructure projects, and energy projects. Prior to joining the firm, Bang gained advisory experience working at law firms and for multinational corporations. He is a regular contributor to numerous legal magazines, and has participated actively in the training of law students and legal practitioners as a part-time lecturer in Vietnam since 2009. Bang is also a regular speaker at seminars and events organized by professional legal institutions and organizations.
Bang graduated from Hanoi University of Law in 2001 and earned an LL.M. in International Law from the Transnational Law & Business University in Seoul, Korea, in 2006. He later completed an LL.M. in U.S. Law at Antonin Scalia Law School at George Mason University in Virginia, and an LL.M. in International Business Law and U.S. Law from Northeastern University School of Law in 2024. In 2025, he obtained a Ph.D. in International Relations from Selinus University of Sciences and Literature. He currently is pursuing Ph.D. programs in International Law and Business in the United States.
Chambers and Partners has recognized Bang as a leading lawyer in M&A and Real Estate. He is a CiArb-accredited mediator, a listed arbitrator of the Vietnam International Arbitration Centre, and a member of the Ho Chi Minh Bar and the Vietnam Bar Federation. He is fluent in English and Vietnamese.
Since 1996, Shiro has worked for about three and a half years at the Vietnamese Ministry of Justice as a long-term expert in a project to support the development of laws by the Japan International Cooperation Agency. He has been using his network of contacts within the Vietnamese government to support clients in a wide range of fields, including the establishment of new overseas subsidiaries and acquisition support, labor disputes, disputes and arbitration with joint venture partners, and negotiations with the government, mainly in the areas with restrictions on foreign investment such as financial, real estate, and logistics. Since 2015, he has served as chairman of the Legal Subcommittee of the Vietnam Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry and has been involved in the establishment and amendments of the Vietnam Investment Law, the Enterprise Law , the Land Law, and the PPP Law, Draft Decree on Protection of Personal Data in the Japan-Vietnam Joint Initiative and other areas relevant to foreign investment, providing advice to clients that is consistent with local circumstances based on experience from being involved in the legislative process in Vietnam.
Trang has extensive expertise in compliance-related matters and frequently advises multinational financial institutions on the development of internal control systems and policies. She is also known for her proficiency in regard to cross-border finance and securitization. She has advised on major infrastructure projects, including concession-based public-private partnership projects. She actively engages in diversity and inclusion activities and is a vising lecturer at a prestigious law school.
He has worked in Vietnam since 2014, and is currently a representative of our Hanoi Office. He has mainly provided legal advice to many Japanese and international companies on various cross border M&A cases and other cross border transactions, including the acquisition of shares in listed companies and large scale companies in various industries. He also provides advice on compliance, labor law, corporate disputes and general corporate and commercial transactions based on his extensive knowledge and experience.
