    Nippon Life: Agreement with Deutsche Bank and DWS to invest in DWS

Leading Japanese law firm Nishimura & Asahi has advised Nippon Life Insurance Company (“Nippon Life”) on its agreement with Deutsche Bank AG (“Deutsche Bank”) and Deutsche Bank’s global asset management subsidiary DWS Group GmbH & Co. KGaA (“DWS”) to acquire a 5% stake in DWS. DWS, with a presence in 40 countries and with approx. JPY95 trillion in assets under management, is planning an IPO in which Nippon Life will participate. Nippon Life will enhance its investment capabilities and asset management business further through its partnership with Deutsche Bank and DWS.

He also has considerable expertise in strategy planning at all stages from early stage to PMI and advises on a broad range of legal issues in the field of general corporate matters, including corporate governance, and banking and insurance. Leveraging such significant expertise and experience, he provides attentive expert advice in an effective, practical and timely manner. He also has experience serving as an outside officer for private companies and as a lecturer at a prestigious university and law school in Japan.
