Walalangi & Partners advises on landmark transit-oriented developments in Indonesia

Walalangi & Partners (in association with Nishimura & Asahi) advised Mitbana Pte. Ltd. (“Mitbana”), the joint venture company of Mitsubishi Corporation and Surbana Jurong, on the formation of a significant partnership with Sinar Mas Land (“SML”), a leading Indonesian property developer, to advance smart and sustainable Transit-Oriented Developments (“TODs”) in BSD City, Greater Jakarta, Indonesia. These will be the first of their kind in Indonesia.

Mitbana and SML will work together to transform more than 100 hectares of greenfield land into TODs comprising residential units, commercial properties, living amenities, green-park offices, digital hubs, a convention center, a hospital, schools, railways and public transport nodes, which will enlarge the existing footprint of BSD City and expand its population of 200,000 residents.
