On 5 February 2026, the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME) released Prakas No. 17953, setting the annual quota for rooftop solar installations at 30 MW for 2026. This quota is overseen by the Electricity Authority of Cambodia (“EAC”) and is accessible to eligible applicants seeking to connect their systems to the grid. This steady regulatory direction is designed to give all market participants, from commercial and industrial (C&I) customers to renewable energy investors, confidence that Cambodia’s solar sector will remain accessible and attractive.
