Bangkok associate Jumpei Nagaoka gave a lecture titled "ESG application and arising legal issues / ESG disputes and recommendations for regulations of risk allocation under the context of applying ESG standards" at a seminar titled “ESG - Key to Sustainable Development: Solutions for Promoting Businesses to Effectively Practice ESG Standards,” which was hosted by HCMC Institute for Development Studies and the Vietnam International Arbitration Centre and held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on June 20, 2024.
In the lecture, Jumpei discussed the draft Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD) and the Anti-Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), and other EU legislation.
