Most innovative Japanese law firm: FT Innovative Lawyers Awards Asia-Pacific 2020

The Financial Times highlighted Nishimura & Asahi as the most innovative Japanese law firm in its 2020 “Most Innovative Law Firms in Asia-Pacific” ranking at their annual FT Asia-Pacific Innovative Lawyer Awards, held virtually on August 6, 2020. Nishimura & Asahi is also the only firm ranked in the overall top 10 that is not headquartered in an English-speaking country.

There was substantial competition for this year’s Awards with 450 submissions from across the region, including nominations from 85 law firms and legal-services providers, and 75 in-house legal teams. To arrive at the final rankings, researchers conducted in-depth interviews with clients, senior lawyers, executives and experts using a unique methodology to rank lawyers on innovation.
