Joseph TAY
Joseph is the Director of Commercial Disputes in Bayfront Law (the alliance counterpart of the Nishimura & Asahi Singapore Office). With over 17 years of experience, Joseph represents clients in Singapore court and Singapore-law related arbitration proceedings in matters of complexity and concerning a wide range of commercial areas. Joseph's practice also extends to restructuring and insolvency work, and corporate internal investigations and compliance.
Joseph has a strong track record as a Singapore litigation and arbitration counsel, and is distinguished for his ability to secure successfully outcomes in unprecedented or complex cases, many of which have been publicly reported and commentated upon. Joseph's broad experience includes M&A and JV disputes, shareholder and director disputes, trade and commercial disputes, corporate real estate disputes, restructuring and insolvency proceedings, freezing order injunctions, infrastructure and construction disputes, financial conspiracy disputes, and banking and securities matters. Joseph serves as an arbitrator on the panels of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre and Singapore Institute of Arbitrators. Joseph also serves as a Neutral Evaluator on the panel of the Singapore Law Society Neutral Evaluation and Determination Scheme.
