Shogo has extensive practical experience handling domestic and international M&A transactions, including acquisitions, private equity, carve-outs, joint ventures, and capital/business alliances. He has particular expertise with outbound M&A deals involving Japanese companies investing in the U.S. and Europe, as well as inbound M&A deals involving international companies making investments in Japanese public and private companies. He is licensed to practice law in Japan, the U.S. and England and Wales, and known for his excellent communication skills and client-focused approach to cross-border transactions. He is fluent in Japanese and English, and has experience working and studying in Japan, the United States, and the UK. Shogo also provides legal support for a wide range of issues, including new business development, capital policy, compliance, franchise and general corporate matters. In addition to Europe and the United States, he handles matters involving China, Taiwan, India, South Korea, Thailand, and Indonesia. He has extensive experience working with clients in multiple sectors, such as manufacturing, aviation, shipping, defense, telecommunications, and automotive.
