In the field of M&A, he shows his professional capabilities and strengths particularly in the context of handling international matters that involve multiple jurisdictions ranging from those in Europe, Asia and the Americas. In the field of personal data protection, he proactively assists his clients in addressing issues to comply with data protection legislation in relation to business activities that extend to multiple jurisdictions, such as the APPI of Japan, GDPR in Europe, and CCPA in California, US. He also assists his clients in the areas of commercial disputes especially in the context of cross-border matters, and advises non-Japanese clients active in Japan as well as Japanese corporations doing business abroad.  Notably, he provides insightful and timely assistance to Japanese corporations that do business in Europe, in various practice areas, using his past experience of living and working in Europe.
