International Project Finance Association: Financing the wind power transition

Date
30-May-19
Venue
Tokyo Nishimura & Asahi, Tokyo, Japan

The development of the Japanese off-shore wind sector is poised for significant growth following Japan's "Act on Promotion of Use of Marine Areas for Development of Marine Renewable Energy Generation Facilities", which was enacted in November 2018 and came into effect on April 1, 2019.

This law, together with continued refinements to the Japanese feed-in-tariff, are expected to help boost the development of wind power projects off the coastal areas controlled by prefectural governments.

This event will look into these laws together with other legal issues that will also play a factor in the growth of this sector in Japan, from a variety of perspectives, including those of developers, investors, lenders, regulatory officials and legal counsel.

Simultaneous interpretation between English and Japanese will be available at this event.
