Food Safety Regulations in Singapore – Genetic Modification, Manufacturing Process, and Food Labelling

Food safety in Singapore is strictly regulated through legislation and is overseen by the Singapore Food Agency (“SGFA”), which administers the Sale of Food Act 1973 of Singapore (“SFA”) and the Food Regulations (“FR”), to ensure that food made available for sale in Singapore is safe for consumption, and to safeguard public health, including food labelling requirements that support the SGFA’s food safety regime.
